Pepperoncini Roast Sandwich

I got this recipe from Pioneer Woman Cooks: Food From My Frontier but I only borrowed it and don’t have it anymore.  So this is what I did.  Forgive me if it’s different from hers.  I still give her full credit.

Put these items in a crockpot

One 3-4 pound roast

One jar of whole pepperoncini peppers with juice

One 14 ounce can of beef broth

That’s it.  Cook it on low for 8 hours or until the meat falls apart.

Other things you’ll need:

Deli Rolls

Pepperjack cheese (sliced)

Sliced onions


Carmelize the onions and mushrooms.  When the meat is done, cut the deli roll so there’s a little canyon for your toppings.  Place the meat and a few pepperoncinis down first.  Then add the cheese, onions and mushrooms.  It’s a philly cheese steak with a kick.  Scrumptious!
